Essential Elements:
Print Santa Lucia School is seeking a passionate, creative, and flexible teacher to join our close-knit community of educators. Founded in 1985, Santa Lucia School is dedicated to providing a nature-based, project-driven educational experience for K-8 students. Our unique program integrates hands-on learning, service projects, and outdoor education. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to student-centered learning, environmental education, and social-emotional development. This role involves teaching a small class of multi-age students in Grade 6-8 and Grades K-2. The teacher will collaborate with a dynamic team of educators to create engaging units of study and lessons integrating literacy, math, science, and social studies through place-based and project-based learning.Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.
- Valid California ID
- Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (preferred).Experience teaching grades K-8, preferably in a multi-age classroom setting.
- Experience with early literacy instruction, nature-based learning, and SEL strategies'
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
