Sacred Heart School is a Catholic TK-8 school committed to developing faith, knowledge, and community. Since opening its doors in 1980, Sacred Heart School has formed students. Position Overview:
Sacred Heart School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time Middle School ELA/Social Studies/Religion teacher for grades 5-8 for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will create an engaging and academically rigorous classroom environment while supporting students' spiritual, social, and emotional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with the school's philosophy, Catholic teachings, and academic standards. Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that supports student growth in faith and learning. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students. Integrate faith-based teachings and Catholic values into daily lessons and activities. Assess student progress through observation, documentation, and formative assessments. Maintain open and proactive communication with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and classroom activities. Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, and support staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience. Participate in school Masses, religious celebrations, and Catholic community events. Engage in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school's mission and vision. Uphold school policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
Requirements Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field Valid teaching credential or enrolled in a credential program. Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate instructional methods. Commitment to the teachings and values of the Catholic faith. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create and implement engaging lesson plans that support individual learning styles. Commitment to fostering a warm and supportive classroom atmosphere.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a Catholic or faith-based school setting. Experience working in a middle school classroom. Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction.

Wage Range The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range.
