Champions After School Teacher

Duties:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards
• Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students
• Provide instruction in various subjects, such as math, science, language arts, and social studies
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians
• Utilize effective teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
• Incorporate Christian counseling principles into classroom instruction
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom community
• Manage student behavior and enforce discipline when necessary
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to coordinate activities and events
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and educational theories
• Experience working with students in a classroom setting
• Ability to effectively manage student behavior and maintain a positive learning environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficient in using technology for instructional purposes
• Ability to provide tutoring or additional support to students as needed
• Experience in sports coaching, theater, or other extracurricular activities is a plus
• Familiarity with early childhood education or daycare practices is beneficial
• Previous experience in babysitting or working with children outside of a school setting is advantageous
