Position Title:
Secondary Mathematics Teacher (7-12)
Qualifications:
Must possess or be eligible for Connecticut State Department of Education certification for 7-12 Mathematics (029). Degree from an accredited college or university in Mathematics, or Education with mathematics as the concentration.

Terms of Employment:
Position to start August 18, 2026. Salary and benefits in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between the association and the Board of Education.
Responsibilities:
The Secondary Mathematics Teacher has the following responsibilities as listed below and other duties and responsibilities as shall be assigned by the Building Principal and/or designee:
Prepare instructional resources and assessments that support the delivery of the Avon Public School's Mathematics curriculum.
Develop and implement lesson plans, unit plans, and educational projects to ensure students' academic development. Provide differentiated instructional strategies and assessment and/or modify the curriculum to meet the learning needs of students with structured learning plans (IEPs and 504s)
Provide support to all learners who require additional help or guidance with academic problems and concepts. Other responsibilities as defined by the building principal or designee.
