Job Description
Middle School Mathematics Teacher (Part-Time) Sacred Heart School, a Catholic co-educational pre-kindergarten through eighth grade parochial school, is seeking a part-time Middle School Mathematics Teacher for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to Catholic education, a passion for mathematics, a love for working with middle school students, and the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
Specific Responsibilities:
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and students to support student growth and strengthen the school community. Plan and deliver engaging middle school mathematics lessons that meet the academic needs of diverse learners. Employ a variety of instructional techniques, resources, and technology to engage students and enhance learning. Incorporate curriculum standards, competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson planning and instruction. Provide meaningful assessment and feedback to support student achievement. Create a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Connecticut teaching license preferred. Strong mathematics content knowledge and classroom management skills. Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of Sacred Heart School.
