Key Responsibilities:
St. Luke Catholic School is seeking a faith-filled, enthusiastic educator to serve as an 8th-Grade Homeroom Teacher and Middle School Religion and Social Studies Teacher, beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will teach Social Studies and Religion in grades 6-8, collaborate with an innovative middle school team, and support our STREAM initiatives while fostering academic excellence and Catholic values. Candidates must be practicing Catholic in good standing. In addition, the candidate will: Develop and implement daily lesson plans that address spiritual, emotional, and physical growth. Use diverse instructional techniques such as modeling, observing, questioning, demonstrating and reinforcing. Adapt curriculum to meet individual learning needs. Promote positive behavior through redirection, positive reinforcement, and adherence to the school's behavioral policies. Maintain positive communication with families through newsletters, daily updates, and as-needed outreach. Attend regular staff meetings and participate in annual reviews and professional development. Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff. Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and teacher certification are required. Minimum of 1 year of classroom experience. Demonstrated ability to create engaging, age-appropriate lessons. Commitment to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and faith-based environment. A practicing member of the Catholic faith.
