RESPONSIBILITIES

It is not meant to be all-inclusive of every task or responsibility) Demonstrates effective planning skills by preparing engaging lessons designed to implement stated objectives Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning Demonstrates competence in teaching by having current knowledge of subject matter Demonstrates strong management skills aligned with an approach that includes: intentional language, growth mindset approaches, firm and clear boundaries, and empathy Can communicate and connect effectively and appropriately with students Has the ability to organize an engaging and effective classroom learning environment Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learning of current developments in education Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in Education or a related discipline to teaching assignment Have or willing to obtain a Valid State Teaching Certification in the appropriate grade level and/or subject Experience teaching Math Loves teaching and working with middle school students! Believes in God

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
