Middle School Science Teacher Holy Disciples Parish Corporation Watertown, CT Job Details Full-time 23 hours ago Qualifications Teaching Certification Bachelor's degree Parent-teacher conferences (communication methods) Full Job Description Holy Disciples School in Watertown, CT, is searching for a dynamic and highly qualified full-time Science teacher for its school established and maintained in the Catholic educational tradition. It aims to foster a life-orienting faith, at the same pursuing academic excellence, commitment to principles of the Catholic faith, its beliefs and traditions, and service to community on all levels, within a context of awareness of the global dimension of modern life. The school offers an exceptional academic curriculum and provides opportunities for all students to learn and grow in a remarkable educational setting, grounded in Catholic faith and moral values. The candidate should be competent at instructing students in science and be able to assist students who may need additional support. ü Bachelor's Degree and Teaching Certification required. ü Experience in Catholic or Private Schools is desirable. ü An enthusiasm for young people and Catholic education. ü A practicing Catholic in good standing is preferred, with a deep commitment to the mission of Catholic education. ü Able to work with school technology (e.g.: use of academic software, Microsoft Office, Excel, etc). ü Effective communicator both oral and written who is a well-organized professional with great attention to details. ü Understands and completely embraces the Holy Disciples School Mission and appreciates that the school is driven by its Catholic identity, which focuses on the highest level of ethical, moral, and social behavior of its students, staff, and volunteers.

Spiritual Leadership:

Design and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with diocesan standards
Differentiated Instruction:
Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse learning needs, styles, and accommodation plans of middle school students.

Establish clear expectations, routines, and positive reinforcement strategies to maintain a structured, safe, and productive learning environment.
Assessment & Communication Student Evaluation:
Utilize both formative and summative assessments to measure student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
Parent Engagement:
Maintain regular, professional communication with parents and guardians regarding student academic progress and behavioral growth via the school portal, email, and conferences.
Collaboration:
Work closely with middle school team members, professional learning communities (PLCs), and administration to support student success and school-wide initiatives.
