After School Instructor

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated person to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children and possess the ability to create engaging learning experiences. This role involves providing individualized support to students, helping them achieve their academic goals while fostering a positive learning environment. An Afterschool Instructor is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for students during afterschool hours.

Key duties include:

Student Supervision and Safety Monitor students to ensure a safe and secure environment. Implement and enforce safety protocols and behavioral expectations. Address any conflicts or emergencies promptly and appropriately. Program Delivery Plan, organize, and lead engaging activities, including academic support, arts and crafts, physical fitness, and STEM projects. Facilitate homework assistance and provide additional educational support as needed. Foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving through interactive lessons and games. Relationship Building Develop positive relationships with students, encouraging their personal growth and confidence. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians, providing updates on student progress and behavior. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure program consistency and alignment with organizational goals. Administrative Tasks Take attendance and maintain accurate records of student participation. Prepare materials and supplies needed for daily activities. Contribute to program evaluations and suggest improvements. Professional Conduct Serve as a role model, demonstrating professionalism and respect in interactions with students, families, and colleagues. Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required. Afterschool Instructors play a vital role in fostering a supportive and enriching environment that promotes the overall development of the children in their care.
