This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to engage with children, support their transition into the new school year, and contribute to a positive, nurturing environment. Your energy, organization, and passion for working with children will help set the tone for a successful academic year. Responsibilities Greet students and families warmly as they arrive in the morning, creating a friendly and inclusive atmosphere Assist with classroom setup and organization to ensure a smooth start to the school day Support teachers and staff with classroom management and student supervision during morning routines Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social interaction, early childhood development, and emotional well-being Monitor behavior management strategies to maintain a safe and respectful environment Provide basic childcare assistance, including helping children with their belongings and transitions between activities Collaborate with staff on safety procedures, including first aid response if needed, ensuring all health protocols are followed Skills Strong classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, camp, tutoring, or babysitting Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages Ability to implement behavior management techniques effectively First aid certification or willingness to obtain training prior to start date Excellent communication skills to connect with children, parents, and staff Passion for supporting students' social-emotional growth through Christian counseling or nurturing approaches This role is perfect for individuals dedicated to making a meaningful difference in children's lives during an exciting time of transition.
