Job Description

Lead Educator (Small Group Learning Environment | Neurodiverse Learners | No Large Classroom) Position Overview Evergreen Learning Center is seeking a passionate, creative, and student-centered Lead Educator to join our growing homeschool support and enrichment program. This role offers the opportunity to work in a small-group learning environment designed to support neurodiverse learners through engaging, hands-on educational experiences. The Lead Educator will guide daily learning activities, foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture, and collaborate with Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to support each student's growth. This position is ideal for an educator who values individualized instruction, relationship-based teaching, and the flexibility to think beyond a traditional classroom model. Primary Responsibilities Facilitate daily learning experiences for elementary-aged students Plan and implement engaging literacy, math, STEM, and enrichment activities Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment Adapt instruction to meet a variety of learning styles and developmental needs Collaborate with RBTs and BCBAs to support student success Foster communication, social skills, independence, and problem-solving abilities Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with families Assist with curriculum planning and learning material selection Lead small-group instruction and project-based learning activities Support classroom organization, routines, and transitions Lead additional 1:1 tutoring sessions during after-school hours Promote a culture of curiosity, confidence, and lifelong learning Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Education or related field Current Florida Teaching Certificate preferred Elementary Education certification preferred ESE (Exceptional Student Education) certification or experience strongly preferred Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience Experience working with neurodiverse learners, including children with autism spectrum disorder, preferred Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills Ability to individualize instruction and support diverse learners Excellent communication and collaboration skills Experience in homeschool, microschool, private school, special education, or alternative education settings is a plus Passion for child development, creativity, and student-centered learning Compensation Full-time position; Part-Time position may be available; inquire here Competitive salary starting at: $60,000 based on experience and qualifications Monday-Friday schedule Small-group learning environment Collaborative interdisciplinary team Opportunities for professional growth and program development
