We teach kids coding, robotics, and math tutoring in a small, hands-on environment where every student is known by name. Our students aren't just learning to code — they're making friends, building confidence, and finding a community where they truly belong. Many of our families come to us specifically because their child hasn't thrived in traditional settings, and the connections formed here are genuinely life-changing. The Role We're looking for a Lead Instructor who is as comfortable troubleshooting a Scratch project as they are engaging a shy 10-year-old or managing a lively classroom. This is not a plug-and-play role — we need someone who genuinely connects with kids and takes ownership of the student experience. This is a part-time position with a consistent weekday schedule. School year hours are Monday-Friday, 1:30-6:30 PM. Summer camp availability (9 AM-4 PM) is a plus but not required. What You'll Do Guide students through video-based coding, robotics, and math tutoring curriculum in 1-hour sessions Troubleshoot technical issues and keep students engaged and on track Create a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment — especially for neurodivergent learners Build real relationships with students and become a trusted part of their week Twice a week, co-lead an after-school technology club at a nearby partner school (approximately 1.5 miles away) Collaborate with the owner and other instructors to continuously improve the student experience Who You Are You genuinely like kids and have a natural ability to engage them — this is non-negotiable You have experience or strong interest in coding, robotics, or STEM education You're patient, reliable, and thrive in a small team environment You have experience working with neurodivergent youth or are eager to learn You're looking for a consistent part-time role with real meaning, not just a side gig Background in Computer Science, Education, or a related field is a plus — but passion and people skills matter more Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required — you'll drive to a nearby partner school twice a week for our after-school club
