The Service Learning Microschool is seeking a strong, consistent and relationship-driven High School Teacher to lead a blended classroom serving students in grades 9-12. This position is ideal for an educator who thrives in a personalized learning environment and is passionate about preparing students for college, careers, entrepreneurship, and meaningful community engagement. Position Summary The High School Teacher will facilitate learning across multiple grade levels while providing academic support, mentorship, and guidance to a small group of students in grades 9-12. The teacher will monitor student engagement and progress in a blend of teaching platforms that include VR, online learning systems and occasional classroom lecture and group projects. Key Responsibilities Familiarize themselves with school curriculum and technology in order to facilitate and manage student progress. Create supplemental lessons and group projects to compliment curriculum Adjust student work load to proactively accommodate varying abilities Manage classroom behavior with clear expectations and positive reinforcement strategies Maintain a balance between supporting both in-person and online students Differentiate curriculum content to accommodate varying grade levels and learning styles. Initiate and maintain positive relationships with parents Support college and career readiness initiatives. Coordinate service-learning projects with school admin and teachers Track student progress and communicate regularly with families. Collaborate with school leadership and fellow educators.
