Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, standards-based science instruction aligned with the Florida B.E.S.T. Standards Develop rigorous, relevant lesson plans and hands-on labs that promote inquiry and critical thinking Use data to drive instruction, monitor student progress, and plan interventions Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported Collaborate with grade-level teams and the science department to ensure curriculum alignment and best practices Communicate regularly with families about student progress and classroom activities Participate in ongoing professional development and school-wide initiatives

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field (Master's preferred) Valid Florida teaching certification in Middle Grades Science (5-9) or equivalent preferred Strong understanding of Florida science standards, lab safety, and instructional best practices Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills Why Join Mater Academy Davenport?
