In addition, the school is fully accredited by AISF, AdvancED/SACS, MSA, NCPSA and Ai. What makes Summit-Questa unique is multifaceted. Our 10-acre campus supports a hands-on outdoor environmental program surrounded by nature and wildlife — truly an oasis in the middle of a concrete world. SQMS is a member of the International Schools Partnership (ISP), a consortium of high performing international schools located across the globe. Purpose of the role To ensure every student is academically and socially prepared for college, careers, and the global society. We equip students with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to direct their own lives, think critically, and confidently contribute to an evolving global community. This is achieved by providing diverse learning experiences in partnership with the community to meet each student's unique educational plan. ISP Key Responsibilities Provide effective, differentiated instruction across academic areas. Teach the required curriculum, administer common assessments, and consistently monitor and track student progress. Develop detailed, culturally responsive, and concise lesson plans. Design supplemental activities to support both group and individual student needs, including accommodations for students with special needs. Implement evidence-based classroom management practices to foster a positive, safe, and productive learning environment that minimizes disruptions and builds student self-esteem. Provide proactive modelling, instruction, and targeted interventions to support students' behavioral and social-emotional growth. Maintain regular, positive communication with parents and guardians via phone, email, and home visits to share student progress and build strong partnerships. Establish and maintain effective written and verbal communication with students, families, and colleagues. Actively promote a positive relationship between the school and the wider community through collaborative initiatives, publications, and school events. Participate in professional development opportunities and implement newly acquired strategies with fidelity. Cultivate a collaborative team spirit, contributing to school-wide decision-making processes and attending required staff meetings and committees. Support school-wide goals, model global citizenship, and contribute to extra-curricular activities and school programs (including recess duty as requested). Serve as a positive role model for students and staff, demonstrating the emotional, mental, and physical resilience necessary to execute all job duties effectively. Skills Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and child-centered learning practices Excellent classroom management and organizational skills Ability to foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues Strong communication and observational skills Ability to support diverse developmental and learning needs Collaborative and team-oriented mindset Qualifications Montessori certification preferred (AMS, AMI, MACTE, or equivalent) OR receive Montessori training Bachelor's degree in education or teaching area or related field CPR and First Aid certification preferred Successful completion of background screening and required clearances Experience Experience creating and maintaining a prepared Montessori classroom Experience collaborating with families and educational teams Experience supporting individualized and hands-on learning approaches
Physical Requirements:
