Overview We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Elementary Support Staff to join our educational team. This role is essential in providing support to students, particularly those in Kindergarten, and fostering an inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, classroom management, and experience working with diverse learners. Responsibilities Provide tutoring and academic support in subjects such as literacy, math, and standardized testing preparation. Engage in classroom management to create a positive learning atmosphere conducive to student growth. Mentor students by offering guidance and encouragement in their academic pursuits. Utilize learning technology effectively to enhance educational experiences. Support physical education activities and promote healthy lifestyle choices among students. Foster effective communication with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders regarding student development. Requirements High School Diploma and 2 experience in a related field preferred; experience in elementary education is a plus. Strong skills in classroom management, lesson planning, and behavior management techniques. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with students and families. Familiarity with Montessori methods or private school experience is advantageous. Ability to develop engaging curriculum materials that cater to various learning styles. Experience in tutoring or mentoring roles is highly desirable. Proficiency in proofreading and writing skills for creating educational content.
