Falbo's Family Karate is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals for After-School Staffer and Summer Camp Counselor roles. You will be working with children ages 5-12 in a fun, dynamic environment that blends karate, play, and Christian values. This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while fostering their personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

After-School Program:

Assist children with daily activities such as floor games, arts & crafts, and study time. Prepare students for karate class, ensuring they are ready and focused. Provide positive role-modeling through Christian principles and karate teachings.

Summer Camp Program:

Facilitate engaging, fun, and educational activities for kids, incorporating karate, games, and team-building exercises. Ensure a safe and supportive camp environment with structure. Coordinate transportation for field trips, activities, and special events. Supervise children during all camp activities, maintaining safety and order at all times. Enforce camp policies and handle any behavioral concerns with patience and consistency.

Qualifications/Skills:

Experience working with children, ideally in a structured environment. Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members. Must be reliable, organized, and able to handle a variety of tasks throughout the day. Able to manage and guide children ages 5-12, offering discipline and encouragement. Must be able to drive a 15-passenger van for transportation to and from field trips. Comfortable with Christian teachings and modeling positive behavior in a faith-based setting. Must be able to work flexible hours (7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quick to learn new computer software systems. Able to handle parent concerns or complaints with professionalism and tact. First Aid/CPR certification is preferred but not required.

Hours vary based on program needs, with some split shifts. Must be dependable, with reliable transportation to and from the location.
