Montessori Assistant Guide - Aftercare

Gulf Breeze Montessori is looking for a caring, dependable Assistant Guide to support our afternoon Aftercare Program . This role works with a mixed-age group (Toddlers, Primary, and Elementary students) and is ideal for someone who loves being active, outdoors, and part of a collaborative school community. This position can lead to future full-time classroom opportunities for the right candidate who is interested in growing within a Montessori environment. There is also an immediate opportunity to get more hours as a sub during the school day. Schedule Monday-Friday 2:45 PM - 5:15 PM What You'll Do Provide warm, attentive supervision for a mixed-age group of children Support outdoor play and activities (aftercare is primarily outdoors) Encourage respectful communication and positive social interactions Help children problem-solve and build independence Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming aftercare environment Collaborate with classroom Guides and school leadership Physical Expectations Active supervision outdoors daily Standing and moving for extended periods Engaging physically with children during play and transitions What We're Looking For Genuine love and respect for children Patient, calm, and reliable presence Experience working with children preferred (Montessori experience is a plus) Team-oriented with a willingness to learn Able to meet all state and local requirements for working with children Why Join Gulf Breeze Montessori?
