Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Culinary Arts Teacher to inspire and educate aspiring chefs and food enthusiasts in a public high school setting. In this role, you will deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in culinary techniques, food preparation, baking, and kitchen safety to students in grades 9-12. Your expertise will help students develop their culinary skills, understand food industry standards, and foster a love for the culinary arts. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of culinary professionals in a vibrant learning environment. Duties Design and deliver comprehensive lesson plans covering cooking techniques, food handling, sanitation, and culinary theory Demonstrate proper knife skills, baking methods, cake decorating, and food presentation to students Supervise practical kitchen sessions ensuring safety protocols and sanitation standards are strictly followed Provide constructive feedback to students to improve their culinary skills and confidence Manage classroom activities efficiently, fostering an inclusive environment that encourages creativity and teamwork Coordinate with industry professionals for guest lectures or demonstrations to enhance learning experiences Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessments Qualifications Proven culinary experience with expertise in food preparation, baking, and kitchen operations Strong knowledge of food handling safety, sanitation practices, and restaurant or food service management Skilled in teaching or adult education with the ability to communicate complex techniques clearly Hands-on experience in the food industry or hospitality sector is highly desirable Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods Ability to inspire and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels Relevant certifications in culinary arts or hospitality preferred Join us to make a meaningful impact by nurturing future culinary talents! Pay:
Up to $49,500.00 per year
