Job Overview Seminole Science Charter School is seeking a dynamic Middle/High School Computer Science Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher to inspire the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers. Requirements Bachelor's Degree or Higher License/Certification:
FL Certification/Letter of Eligibility - Computer Science K-12 Responsibilities and Job Description Design and implement comprehensive computer science curricula aligned with Florida Standards for grades 6-8 Introduce coding, digital literacy, internet safety, and computational thinking Use tools such as block-based coding and basic programming (e.g., Scratch, Python basics) Support students in developing problem-solving and technology skills Integrate technology into engaging, hands-on classroom activities Assess student learning through projects, assignments, and assessments Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment Communicate with staff and parents as needed Support responsible and safe use of technology by students Skills Strong knowledge of computer science concepts including programming (Python, Java, etc.), algorithms, data structures, and software development. Proficiency in curriculum development and instructional design tailored for middle school learners. Familiarity with learning technology platforms and digital classroom tools to facilitate interactive lessons. Classroom management skills with the ability to motivate students and maintain an organized learning environment.
