Job Description
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Middle Science Teachers for the 2025-2026 academic year who are eager to inspire curiosity and foster a love for science among students. This role offers an exciting opportunity to design engaging lessons, facilitate hands-on experiments, and cultivate a dynamic learning environment that encourages critical thinking and scientific inquiry. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in various scientific disciplines, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to student success. Develop and deliver comprehensive science curricula aligned with educational standards, incorporating innovative instructional strategies and learning technology tools. Plan and execute engaging lessons in biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences, and related fields, integrating concepts such as genetics, biochemistry, organic chemistry, and molecular biology. Conduct laboratory experiments and dissections safely while guiding students through scientific research methods and laboratory techniques. Assess student progress through standardized testing, project evaluations, and formative assessments; provide constructive feedback to support growth. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive, inclusive environment conducive to active learning and collaboration. Mentor students individually or in groups, providing academic advising and tutoring to enhance understanding of complex scientific concepts like differential equations or discrete math. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and school initiatives; participate in professional development sessions focused on research-based teaching practices. Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field; advanced degrees preferred. Proven classroom experience teaching middle or high school science subjects with demonstrated success in student engagement and achievement. Strong knowledge of scientific disciplines including cell biology, microbiology, genetics, biochemistry, organic chemistry, molecular biology, and physics principles such as trigonometry and calculus. Proficiency in using learning technology platforms and educational software to enhance instruction. Laboratory experience with dissection techniques, microbiology procedures, research laboratory methods, and safety protocols. Excellent communication skills for effective instruction, mentoring, and collaboration with students, parents, and staff. Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a respectful learning environment. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, standardized testing preparation, and instructional design. Knowledge of special education needs or Montessori teaching methods is a plus; experience working within private school settings is desirable.
