CitiChurch exists to serve Allapattah by providing direct educational & spiritual opportunities, strengthening families, and linking residents together in a supportive neighborhood. The CitiKidz program serves elementary-aged students in Kindergarten - 5th Grade. The IDEAL instructor at CitiKidz will enjoy working with children and have a passion for it . Instructors must be teachable , have or be willing to grow in classroom management and be able to implement lesson plans .The instructor should desire a well-managed classroom, enjoy teaching, be creative, flexible, a team player, aware, punctual, organized, able to follow a schedule, and able to lead and give directions. Our instructors must act as positive adult role models, coaches, and mentors. Instructors must be genuinely interested in the growth, development, and provision of a safe and nurturing environment for the students they teach. Instructors must establish authority through leadership, communication, and, most importantly, patience, which will be necessary in giving our students the stability and nurturing atmosphere they need to succeed. Able to lead large and small groups with ease. Our Program runs on 2 two tracks: Creative/Performing Arts
AND SPORTS!
We are looking for after-school instructors who will naturally fit into one of these two tracks and can use their gifts and talents. Daily activities include Homework help, snacks, Physical Fitness, Reading, arts & crafts, and other specialized activities.
Requirements:
Fun, Energetic, Self-Starter High School diploma - some College preferred At least 1-2 years of experience working with school age children reliable personal transportation reliable cell phone able to pass a Level 2 background screening CPR and First Aid Certified, a plus! SPARK Trained - a PLUS!
Hours:
This is a part time position. We follow the Miami-Dade County Public School calendar.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, between 1:45 p.m.-6:00 p.m.
Please note:
one day per week, a staff meeting may require the employee to be on-site as early as 1:00 p.m If hired, the team members first week of work will be 1:00 - 6:00 pm for training. After School Instructors generally range from 10-20 hours per week. There are 5 teacher planning days that students attend; considered "long" days and staff typically work an 8 hour day in which we take field trips. Most School holidays are off.
