Job Description
Position Overview Varyvoda Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated and mission-aligned Middle School Teacher to serve students in grades 9 through 12. This is a full-time position beginning with the 2026-27 school year. The ideal candidate brings academic rigor, a Christ-centered approach to education, and a genuine commitment to the social and emotional development of young adolescents. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction across assigned subjects for grades 9-12 Integrate Christian values and a faith-centered perspective throughout classroom instruction Maintain a structured, safe, and supportive classroom environment Assess student progress regularly and provide timely, constructive feedback Communicate proactively with parents and guardians regarding student performance and needs Collaborate with school leadership on curriculum development and school culture initiatives Support students with IEPs, 504 plans, or unique learning needs in coordination with administration Participate in weekly staff meetings, open house events, and school community activities Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area (required) Florida teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification (preferred) Prior middle school teaching experience strongly preferred Demonstrated commitment to Christian faith and values-based education Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build relationships with adolescent learners Experience supporting diverse learners, including students with learning differences Compensation Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications:
