We are seeking a passionate and qualified Middle School Spanish Teacher to join our dedicated team and support students in developing language proficiency, cultural awareness, and global competence. Job Summary We are looking for a motivated and student‑centered Middle School Spanish Teacher to support student learning in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will create engaging instructional experiences that promote language development while supporting the overall success of the school community. This role requires advanced content knowledge, strong instructional judgment, and adherence to Board policies and state regulations. Essential Functions Develop and deliver Spanish language curriculum aligned with Florida Standards and applicable world language frameworks. Plan lessons that promote reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in Spanish. Create an inclusive, engaging classroom environment that encourages active participation and cultural appreciation. Teach effectively using approved instructional materials, textbooks, and technology. Implement differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including ESE and ESOL students. Promote student academic growth and responsible citizenship. Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents, guardians, and administrators regarding student progress. Develop and administer assessments and provide timely, constructive feedback. Collaborate with administrators, instructional coaches, and colleagues to support curriculum alignment and student success. Participate in school‑wide initiatives, professional learning communities, and required trainings. Maintain accurate records and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations. Participate in safety drills and uphold school safety procedures. Sponsor or support Spanish language clubs, cultural activities, or enrichment opportunities, as appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned by school administration. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of Spanish language and instruction. Effective classroom management and organization skills. Ability to engage students through interactive, student‑centered instruction. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in instructional technology and educational software. Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑based environment. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Spanish, or a related field. Valid State of Florida teaching certification, Letter of Eligibility, Temporary Certificate, or Professional Certificate in World Languages/Spanish. Knowledge of instructional strategies and assessment practices. Strong classroom management skills. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Education or World Languages. Prior experience teaching Spanish at the middle school level. Experience integrating technology to enhance language instruction. ESOL or ESE endorsement. Physical Demands Regular verbal and written communication. Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting. Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds. Vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, and focus adjustment.
