Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate Middle School Elective Homeschool Enrichment Teacher to lead creative, hands-on lessons in subjects like art, music, physical education, drama, and STEM in a Middle School aged classroom. The role involves delivering engaging lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and adapting content to meet diverse student needs. The teacher will work closely with students in groups, encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork. Strong communication skills and a love for working with children are essential. This part-time, two days a week , flexible position offers the opportunity to inspire young learners in a homeschool setting. Responsibilities Deliver and implement interactive lessons in elective subjects. (Lesson planning already done for you.) Encourage student creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Provide constructive feedback to students to encourage self discovery, also Program Director and parents on request. Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment through effective behavior management strategies. Foster a positive, supportive and inclusive atmosphere for early childhood education, ensuring the needs of all students are met. Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the educational experience for all students. Participate in professional development meetings to stay current with educational best practices. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field preferred ; teaching certification a plus . Experience in education is required . Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage students effectively. Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies for diverse learners. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, colleagues and parents. A genuine passion and enthusiasm for teaching and commitment to fostering a love of learning and creativity in students. This is a part-time, two days a week, flexible position with the opportunity to work with motivated and enthusiastic students in a homeschool enrichment setting.
