The ideal candidate is committed to creating a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered classroom where children can learn, grow, and thrive. The Lead VPK Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate instruction that aligns with Florida VPK standards while fostering each child's academic, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development. This individual will build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues and contribute to a collaborative school environment. Responsibilities Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lessons that meet Florida VPK standards. Create a nurturing, organized, and safe classroom environment. Support children's development through hands-on learning, play, and positive guidance. Observe, assess, and document student progress. Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth and classroom activities. Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and compliance with licensing and school policies. Work collaboratively with administration and fellow teachers. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events. Integrate Christian values into daily classroom instruction and interactions. Qualifications Florida Staff Credential or Child Development Associate (CDA) required. VPK Endorsement required Previous experience teaching preschool or VPK preferred. Knowledge of Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP). Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills. CPR/First Aid Certification Successful completion of Level II Background Screening.
