- Full-time High School Teacher Legacy Christian Academy Position Summary Legacy Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Teacher who is committed to academic excellence and Christian education.
As an Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) teacher, the individual serves as a guide, mentor, and encourager, supporting students through individualized, self-paced learning rooted in Biblical principles. Using the A.C.E. model, the teacher facilitates a structured classroom environment where students work independently in PACEs (Packets of Accelerated Christian Education), mastering concepts step-by-step while developing character, responsibility, and self-discipline. Rather than relying primarily on traditional lectures, the teacher monitors student progress, provides individualized instruction, administers assessments, and ensures students achieve mastery before advancing. The teacher promotes strong Christian values, integrates Scripture into daily learning, and fosters a respectful, orderly atmosphere where academic excellence and spiritual growth go hand in hand. Through mentorship, academic support, and spiritual leadership, the teacher helps students develop both intellectually and morally. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Education or a minimum of five (5) years of experience working with children. Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills. Ability to provide individualized instruction and academic support. Commitment to Christian education and the mission of Legacy Christian Academy. Reports To Principal Primary Responsibilities A.C.E. Learning Center Leadership Facilitate student learning through the Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) program. Monitor student progress through PACEs and ensure mastery of academic concepts before advancement. Answer academic questions, provide individualized instruction, and enhance student understanding. Quiz students on Self Tests and score PACE Tests. Supervise student testing and maintain testing integrity. Prescribe curriculum and academic goals based on student progress and needs. Encourage students to develop responsibility, self-discipline, goal-setting, and accountability. Student Instruction and Academic Support Compile, report, and file student academic results accurately and promptly. Maintain detailed academic records and monitor student achievement. Assist students in overcoming academic challenges through one-on-one support and guidance. Foster an atmosphere that encourages independent learning and critical thinking. Christian Leadership and Character Development Integrate Biblical principles and Scripture into daily interactions and learning experiences. Model Christian character and professionalism in all aspects of the role. Promote spiritual growth, integrity, respect, and personal responsibility among students. Help cultivate a Christ-centered classroom environment that supports both academic and spiritual development. Parent and Student Relations Conduct parent-teacher conferences to discuss student progress and goals. Maintain open and professional communication with parents regarding academic performance and student development. Encourage positive partnerships between home and school. School Promotion and Community Engagement Actively promote Legacy Christian Academy and its mission within the community. Participate in school events, open houses, and outreach activities as requested. Extracurricular Activities Supervise and support extracurricular activities including: Field trips Educational films Book reports and presentations Athletics Art programs Music activities Other student enrichment opportunities Employment Expectations The High School Teacher is expected to uphold the policies, procedures, and Christian values of Legacy Christian Academy while demonstrating professionalism, integrity, servant leadership, and a commitment to student success.
