Dr. Kiran C. Patel High School is seeking a passionate, innovative, and dedicated Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals Teacher to join our dynamic team for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities:
Curriculum Design:
Develop and implement an engaging, project-based curriculum aligned with state standards, focused on Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals, Machine Learning concepts, and Data Science. Integrate computational thinking, programming (such as Python), problem-solving, and the societal and ethical implications of emerging AI technologies. Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Partner with faculty across different departments to integrate AI concepts, data literacy, and technological innovation into broader, real-world academic projects. Collaborate to design authentic, interdisciplinary learning experiences that connect AI capabilities to fields like humanities, science, and art. Classroom Management:
Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-expectations learning environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and algorithmic problem-solving. Guide students through the software development life cycle, data modeling, iterative testing, and solution refinement. Student Assessment:
Utilize data-driven instruction to assess progress, provide constructive feedback, and close learning gaps. Evaluate student mastery of technical concepts, coding proficiency, and the application of AI model design principles through project-based performance tasks. Technology Integration:
Effectively use Google for Education and 1:1 Chromebooks to enhance instruction. Leverage industry-relevant AI tools, cloud platforms, data visualization software, and programming environments to support technical development and innovation-based learning. Mentorship:
Promote leadership, personal responsibility, and academic growth among a diverse student body. Encourage curiosity, responsible and ethical AI usage, and readiness for advanced computer science coursework, technical industry certifications, and postsecondary pathways. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Education, or a closely related field. Valid State Teaching Certification in Computer Science (K-12) , Educational Technology , Business Education , Information Technology , Web Development , or Computer Programming , or Math . Demonstrated knowledge of foundational AI concepts (e.g., machine learning algorithms, neural networks, natural language processing, and data ethics). Experience with Project-Based Learning (PBL) or student-centered instruction is highly preferred. Strong classroom management skills and proficiency with educational and industry-standard technology.
