Middle School Spanish Teacher Position Overview:

Pinecrest Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Middle School Spanish Teacher. The ideal candidate is passionate about language acquisition and cultural understanding, and is committed to helping students develop proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening in Spanish. This teacher will create an engaging, interactive classroom that fosters communication, collaboration, and a love for language learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver Spanish instruction aligned to Florida's World Language Standards Develop lessons that promote communication, cultural understanding, and language proficiency Incorporate technology, games, project-based learning, and real-life applications to enhance learning Use assessment data to guide instruction and differentiate for diverse learners Create a structured, positive classroom environment that promotes engagement and accountability Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress Collaborate with colleagues during Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to improve instructional practices Maintain accurate records and comply with all school, district, and state requirements Participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and extracurricular activities

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field Valid Florida Teaching Certificate (or eligibility) in World Languages (Grades 6-12) Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to analyze student data and adjust instruction accordingly Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching middle school Spanish Knowledge of language acquisition strategies and differentiated instruction Experience incorporating technology, immersion activities, and cultural projects
