Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated High School CTAE (Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education) Teacher specializing in Engineering to inspire and prepare students for careers in engineering disciplines. Education & Certification/Licensure:
Minimum of an Associate's Degree or higher for the posted position or a PSC-determined equivalent. Licensure for the appropriate CTAE field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of occupational work experience in the field required.

Principal Job Summary:
Provides instruction in the specific CTAE field to ensure that students demonstrate appropriate mastery of standards, gain knowledge and skills essential to the industry, and are prepared for related career and post-secondary opportunities.
Major Responsibilities:
Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance. Demonstrates a strong understanding of the technical aspects of industry standards. Creates a safe and student-centered classroom environment in which students are able to excel as active and self-directed Provides appropriate and content-related instruction based on state, local and relevant industry standards

Provides community-based instruction and projects based on program guidelines and requirements. Follows all county, state, and federal policies, procedures and guidelines required for the implementation of a successful program, including maintaining industry certification as required. Exhibits a commitment to professional ethics and the school's mission in all work-related activities. Communicates responsibly with students, parents, colleagues, and school. Sponsors, or co-sponsors, events, competitions, and other related competitions. Manages and maintains program facilities. Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
Other Responsibilities:
Attends school and department/district-level professional growth activities as expected. Establishes and maintains membership affiliation in professional organization(s) related to industry. Prepares adequately for responsibilities to be assumed. Facilitates home-school communication by such means as holding conferences, telephoning, and writing. Integrates appropriate technology into classroom.
Physical Demands:
Frequent walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry instructional materials and equipment up to 25 pounds. Dexterity to write on a board, operate a computer, and use other classroom technology. Occasional bending, stooping, and reaching. Clear speech and hearing abilities for effective communication. Visual acuity to read printed and digital materials.
