Job Description
Job Summary Join our vibrant after school program as a School Age Teacher in Tifton, GA, where you will inspire and engage children during their most formative years. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for students after school hours. Duties Supervise and manage classroom activities for school-aged children, ensuring a safe and organized environment. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, crafts, games, and educational activities that promote childhood development and social skills. Maintain positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation and respect among students. Monitor children's safety at all times, including administering basic first aid when necessary. Collaborate with parents, staff, and other caregivers to support each child's individual needs and progress. Facilitate extracurricular activities such as sports coaching, theater projects, or tutoring sessions to enrich the program experience. Enforce program policies and procedures in line with childcare regulations and best practices. Skills Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain order while fostering a fun learning environment. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages. Experience working with children in daycare, camp settings, or tutoring environments. Ability to implement behavior management techniques effectively. First aid certification or willingness to obtain it prior to start date. Excellent communication skills for working with children, parents, and team members. Familiarity with special education needs and Christian counseling is a plus but not required.
