Aug 10, 2026 Job Description St. Anthony Catholic School is seeking a dynamic Associate/Paraeducator to support teachers in the educational setting by assisting with instructional activities, managing classroom behavior, and providing individualized attention to students. This role is essential in fostering a positive learning environment and ensuring that all students achieve their academic and social goals. St. Anthony Catholic School offers competitive pay, benefits, and a 403 (b) plan. Our school serves students in preschool through 8th grade. This position does not work in the summers or over school breaks. We are hiring for the 2026 - 2027 school year, and the start date will be in August 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Support:
Assist teachers in the delivery of lesson plans and instructional materials. Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to students, reinforcing concepts taught in class.
Classroom Management:
Support the teacher in maintaining a positive classroom environment conducive to learning. Monitor student behavior and implement strategies to promote positive behavior. Assist with classroom organization and cleanliness.
Student Assistance:
Assist students and ensure their safety and well-being. Encourage students' independence and self-advocacy skills.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred). Experience working with children, especially in an educational setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff. Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning.
Working Conditions:
This position typically requires working in a classroom environment, with occasional outdoor activities. The role may involve standing for long periods and lifting or moving educational materials.
