About us The Dubuque Dream Center Academy is located in Dubuque, IA. We are a New Urban Private Christian School. We are looking to recruit and transition Educators who are interested in being a part of a dynamic newly accredited, private Christian school committed to serving students who generally don't have access to a quality Private Christian Education and experience. You will join a school filled with exceptional colleagues doing what matters most to you, our students and our community, in the name of and for the Glory of Jesus Christ our Lord.

  • Overview:
  • We are seeking a passionate Teacher to join our team.
In order to fulfill the mission of the school, it is important that this position follow all school policies, procedures, and philosophies, located in the employee handbook and other sources, both written and verbal. Wholeheartedly agree to and fulfill the school's statement of faith and Christian code of conduct. Demonstrate success as a teacher and hold a current teaching license. Skills in collaboration, cooperation, research, planning, flexibility, and innovation. Ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, administrators, faculty, and staff. Ability to show leadership with students, parents, administrators, faculty, and staff. Understand, articulate, and exemplify teaching and learning from a Christian perspective and knowledge and cultural competency of the demographic served by the DDCA. Understand, support, and fulfill the mission of the school as a member of the school team. Demonstrate a love of teaching, learning, and serving others. Demonstrate effective listening, teaching strategies, curricular knowledge, assessment abilities, teamwork, and a positive, teachable attitude and spirit. Demonstrate a calm demeanor in stressful situations. Maintain confidentiality. As an Urban Private Christian School, we are also looking for a Teacher who has a strong relationship with Jesus Christ, are committed to our School Christ-Centered Mission, and our Statement of Faith.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Teach from our designed Curriculums in each subject area align with our State Standards
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Utilize our designated Assessments to determine differentiated instruction.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience
  • Experience:
  • Prior experience teaching elementary aged students
  • Proficiency in classroom management techniques
  • Ability to educate and inspire students
  • Experience working with students with special education needs is a plus
  • Strong behavior management skills
Pay:
From $22.00 per hour
