Principal Job Summary:

The middle school teacher provides leadership and support in the following areas: instruction, interventions, and social emotional learning. A brand new 21st century science lab and classroom was built and finished for this past 2025-2026 school year. The amazing features and state of the art space has elevated the learning environment for all of our students.

Qualifications:

Valid Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educator's License Must be endorsed in science Middle grades endorsements Willingness to sponsor and/or participate in extra-curricular activities.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Instruct students in science and other related school subject areas (such as social emotional learning) using best practice strategies. Analyze student data to inform instructional goals. Plan and collaborate with teachers in the area of science. Integrate technology into lessons. Confers with students, parents, and school personnel to resolve student problems. Communicates student progress with parents. Other duties as assigned. Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Perform the physical tasks necessary to monitor, supervise and physically assist students throughout the school day during a variety of instructional activities. Must be able to function effectively in an active, loud environment. Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment as circumstances require.
