Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic secondary Math Teacher to inspire students to build confidence and proficiency in mathematics. This role offers an exciting opportunity to create engaging lessons that strengthen number sense, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills while supporting students' academic growth in a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a commitment to educational excellence, ensuring every student is challenged, supported, and encouraged to succeed in math. Duties Plan and deliver standards-aligned math instruction for secondary grade students, using a variety of teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs. Create engaging lessons that develop students' understanding of key concepts such as ratios, proportional reasoning, integers, expressions, equations, geometry, and statistics. Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress, provide timely feedback, and adjust instruction to improve learning outcomes. Establish a positive and structured classroom environment that promotes collaboration, perseverance, and confidence in mathematical thinking. Differentiate instruction and provide targeted interventions or enrichment to support students performing below, at, and above grade level. Integrate instructional technology and hands-on activities to make math concepts accessible, relevant, and engaging for middle school learners. Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff to promote student success and contribute to a strong school community. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. Valid teaching license appropriate for middle school math instruction preferred. Experience teaching math at the middle school level, preferably with 6th and 7th grade students. Strong knowledge of middle school math standards, curriculum development, and assessment practices. Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and use data to inform instruction. Experience supporting diverse learners through differentiated instruction and classroom accommodations. Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills. Commitment to fostering a growth mindset and helping students develop confidence in mathematics.
