Certified - Indiana Teaching License in science for grades 6-8. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred Must hold a valid Indiana State Teacher's License in science for grades 6-8. Experiences Required Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners across multiple grade levels Flexibility and openness to feedback and continuous improvement Commitment to high expectations for all students Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture Demonstrates a team-first mindset and professionalism in all interactions Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging instruction aligned to Indiana Academic Standards and the Cold Spring instructional model. Evaluate student work, assessment data, and progress monitoring results to inform instruction and support student academic growth. Collaborate with intervention staff and participate in MTSS or data team meetings to review student progress and determine appropriate supports. Administer regular formative and summative assessments to determine student progress and adjust instruction accordingly. Maintain accurate records of student progress and prepare report cards, progress reports, and other required documentation. Provide differentiated instruction, including small-group instruction, to meet the academic needs of all learners. Use a variety of instructional strategies, materials, and technology to support student engagement and learning. Integrate STEM and environmental learning opportunities into classroom instruction when appropriate. Collaborate with grade-level teams, intervention staff, and administration to support student success and academic achievement. Commit to and uphold the Cold Spring Philosophy, Beliefs, and standards of Instructional Excellence. Maintain a structured, safe, and positive classroom environment conducive to student learning and development. Encourage family engagement and maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom expectations. Seek feedback and participate in ongoing professional growth to strengthen instructional practice. Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and professional learning communities, which may occur outside the regular instructional day. Respond promptly to student, family, and staff needs while contributing to a collaborative and solution-oriented school culture. Perform other duties as assigned.
