Immediately Job Description At Zoneton Middle School, our mission is to empower students who embrace diversity, value learning, and positively impact the community. We are seeking a passionate and student-centered Science Teacher who is committed to building meaningful relationships, creating engaging learning experiences, and inspiring curiosity through scientific discovery. Position Overview The ideal candidate will create a positive and structured classroom environment where all students are challenged to think critically, collaborate, and apply scientific concepts to real-world situations. Teachers at Zoneton Middle School work collaboratively through PLCs to ensure high levels of learning for every student. Responsibilities Deliver engaging, standards-based science instruction aligned to Kentucky Academic Standards Create hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences that promote critical thinking and problem solving Build strong relationships with students and foster a classroom culture of respect, belonging, and high expectations Use assessment data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction to meet student needs Collaborate with colleagues through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and school improvement efforts Support school-wide expectations focused on character, leadership, and positive student behavior Communicate effectively with families and stakeholders to support student success Candidate must have Kentucky Science Middle Grades Certification and possess all other requirements according to BCPS. This position is for the 2026-2027 school year. Salary based on board approved salary schedule for the 2026-2027 school year.
