Overview:

Elementary Summer School consists of nine days of intensive literacy instruction and remediation. Each school will target students as identified by iREAD data.

Grade Level Positions Available:

2nd-3rd

Grade Summer School Teacher Duty:

Teacher will instruct students using research-based curriculum that aligns with state standards and the Science of Reading. Teacher must have already or be willing to take the IDOE iREAD Test Administrator Certification. Teacher will coordinate with the program leader and communicate with families. Teacher will maintain accurate and complete records, including attendance, as required by administrative regulations Teacher will deliver the iREAD exam in accordance with their building level administrator's plan. Teacher must have completed 25 hours from the Early Literacy Endorsement Verified Professional Development Program from IDOE. The program will be offered for students May 26th

• June 5th from 8:00am-12:00pm (for Clifty Creek, CSA Fodrea, Mt. Healthy, Parkside, Richards, Schmitt, Smith, Southside, Taylorsville). The program will be offered for students May 26th
• June 5th from 8:00am-11:30am (for Rockcreek) There will be no job sharing.

Working hours for the program are 7:30 am to 12:30 pm. (for Clifty, CSA Fodrea, Mt. Healthy, Parkside, Richards, Schmitt, Smith, Southside, Taylorsville). There will be no job sharing. Working hours for the program are 7:30 am to 12:00 pm. (for Rockcreek)

Qualification:

Elementary Teacher Certification. Necessary background or experience in the Science of Reading and effective literacy instruction.

Terms of Employment:

4 Hours/Day 9.5 days of Pay Teacher Hourly Rate (paid for a total of 36.5 hours)

Terms of Employment:

(for Rockcreek) 3.5 Hours/Day 9.5 days of Pay Teacher Hourly Rate (paid for a total of 33.25 hours)

NOTE:

There is no referendum pay associated with this position.
