Job Description

Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy seeks State Certified English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher for middle school. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Elementary Education, Middle School Education, Special Education, Curriculum and Instruction, and/or Educational Leadership is a plus. Reading Specialist and/or ESL certification is desirable; 2+ years experience with children in a school setting is preferred. Familiarity with Louisiana Student Standards, the

LEAP 2025

Assessment, Guidebooks 2.0 and Lucy Calkins' Writing Workshop Model is an asset. Interest in leading extracurricular student activities is a plus. Trainings and workshops in the summer may be required. Position available August 2026. powered by
