DESCRIPTION POSITION
Middle School English Teacher The Arlington Public Schools are accepting applications from applicants interested in teaching Grade 7 English at the Ottoson Middle School beginning in the 2026-2027 School Year. This is a 0.4 FTE position, and teaches two sections of Grade 7 English. Candidates for teaching positions must be appropriately licensed for the position. Candidates must also be collaborative professionals who will work with department and school level colleagues, regular and special educators throughout the School. Must love working with children and be willing to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students in the classroom. In addition, Arlington expects teachers to work diligently and collaboratively to implement the District's approved curriculum for all subjects. Salary and Benefits are consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Arlington School Committee and the Arlington Education Association. The Salary Schedule is on our website. Salary placement is based on Education and Experience. Arlington has a well-established new teacher induction program with mentoring throughout the school year. The first official work day in the 2026-2027 school year will be August 31, 2026. However, new staff are required to attend several days of orientation and training during the last two weeks of August.
