Monday - Friday After-School Arts, Theater, Sports, Cooking The Advent School - 4.0 Boston, MA Job Details Part-time | Contract $25 - $30 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Childcare CPR Certification Earth Science Classroom management Curriculum development Working with children Bachelor's degree First Aid Certification Working with students Preschool experience Elementary school teaching Working with elementary school students Arts Teaching Early Childhood Education Full Job Description The Advent School seeks committed, experienced, and passionate artists, athletes, makers, and cooking enthusiasts to work in our after school program during the academic year. In this role, you will introduce students ranging in age from five years through twelve years to developmentally appropriate content that fosters curiosity and expands learning.
Classes may include:
Printmaking, Sports, Theater, Cooking, Slime-making, Open Studio, Rocket Building and/or creating new classes that align with your interests. During the academic year, the Monday through Thursday hours are 3:00pm - 5:15pm and Friday hours are from 12:15pm - 5:15pm. The Trimester runs from Wednesday, September 9th, 2026 through Friday, November 20, 2026 with the option to continue for the remainder of the school year. Qualifications for
After-School Teachers:
Education and experience in the given subject area Experience creating and implementing curriculum Willingness to undergo a background check and fingerprinting At least one year of experience working with elementary-aged children The ideal candidate will have strong group management and relationship-building skills. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree are strongly preferred.
