Description of Service Opportunity:
Job Description:
Instruct and train students of various ages and skill levels in the classical art form of ballet, emphasizing technical precision, grace, and artistic expression. Design and implement class lessons by communicating and physically demonstrating required technique and combinations, following an existing syllabi or artistic direction Observe students to determine physical and artistic qualifications and limitations, providing constructive feedback and class placement recommendations each semester. Prepare students for performances, showcases, and recitals, while fostering a safe, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment.43
Minimum Requirements:
Education Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Professional performing experience or an Associate's or Bachelor's degree (or professional equivalency) in Dance or a related field is preferred. To teach in public or private K-12 schools, a Bachelor's degree in Dance or Dance Education and a valid teaching certification are typically required. Professional qualification or certification from a recognized dance awarding organization is often sought to improve employment opportunities.
Length of Contract:
March 17, 2026 through June 12, 2026
Contract Amount:
Not exceed $2250.00 Please note that your hourly rate is dependent upon your collective bargaining agreement or individual hourly rate. If you are a non-exempt employee and have worked more than 40 hours a week, you will be paid time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours
