Aug 24, 2026 Job Description Clinton Middle School is seeking a passionate and collaborative 7/8 grade science teacher to join our school community as we prepare to move into a new, state‑of‑the‑art building in one year. The opening of our modern facility will provide enhanced learning spaces, updated labs, and expanded opportunities for hands‑on, inquiry‑based science instruction. We are looking for a teacher who is excited about this transition and can help shape a dynamic, student‑centered science program in a supportive and inclusive environment.- Key Responsibilities
- Teach engaging, standards‑based science courses to students in grades 7 and 8, aligned with the Massachusetts Science and Technology/Engineering Learning Standards.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students and prioritize a classroom culture where all learners feel seen, supported, and challenged.
- Design and implement inquiry‑driven, hands‑on lessons that promote scientific thinking, collaboration, and real‑world problem solving.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with disabilities, English language learners, and students performing above grade level.
- Collaborate regularly with grade‑level and content‑area colleagues, special educators, and related‑services staff to support student success.
- Use formative and summative assessment data to inform instruction and adjust pacing and support.
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives, including culture, climate, and community‑building efforts.
- Embrace the upcoming transition to the new building by participating in planning discussions about lab design, equipment use, and instructional best practices in modern science spaces.
