Summary Nashoba Brooks seeks a middle school STEAM teaching fellow for the 2026-2027 academic year who will co-teach Grade 4 mathematics, facilitate supervised study, and support effective integration of STEAM skills throughout the Middle School program. This is a 10-month position that reports directly to the director of educational technology and innovation. The hours of this position are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Responsibilities The middle school STEAM fellow will be responsible for: Teaching and Instructional Support
  • Communicating proactively and effectively with students and parents, including participating in parent/teacher conferences.
  • Participate as an active member of the Middle School teaching, Information Services, and Supervised Study teams to support effective curriculum development and implementation.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching team members, the director of academic support, and the school counselor to identify and address student learning needs.
  • Model strong problem solving and project management skills with a commitment to viewing challenges as problems that can be solved rather than obstacles that cannot be overcome.
  • Appropriately and effectively integrate technology and assessments into instruction to enhance student learning.
  • All employees support the student experience at Nashoba Brooks School by supporting schoolwide events, assisting with co-curricular activities, and providing instructional coverage as needed. Middle School Mathematics
  • Teaching two sections of Grade 4 math, moving from assisting to leading instruction during the academic year.
  • Helping develop and implement curriculum, daily lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Working closely with teachers and administration to support the educational, social, and emotional development of students. STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art Mathematics)
  • Collaborating effectively with employees throughout the School.
  • Sharing information about emerging and innovative trends in educational technology and pedagogy through promotion and utilization of existing and emerging technologies.
  • Assisting with operating and managing the STEAM lab space and equipment.
  • Assisting with the integration of Technology Literacy Standards into classroom curriculum.
  • Facilitating or assisting with student activities or programs. Supervised Study
  • Facilitating Supervised Study, a middle school after-school program.
  • Assisting students in grades 4-8 with homework completion.
  • Planning and implementing innovative and engaging programming for students participating in the Supervised Study program. Skills Strong candidates will demonstrate:
  • The ability to engage middle school students in joyful, vigorous, and inspiring learning.
  • Strong interest and experience with classroom instruction, including teaching math to middle school students, Demonstrated experience with integrated curriculum development, lesson planning, and technology integration for middle school students.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to write detailed comments on students progress reports supported by related assessment data.
  • Effective teacher-parent interaction and communication, including proactive, direct, respectful and constructive communication with people of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • An ability to effectively differentiate curriculum to teach students with diverse learning styles.
  • Strong understanding of and experience with a variety of assessment practices, including utilization of formative assessments to guide feedback and instruction.
  • A proven track record of efficient project management and problem-solving skills with the ability to initiate and complete multiple tasks, independently or collaboratively, as required.
  • Proficiency with technology and technology integration to support learning.
  • An ability to approach challenges with energy, creativity, and flexibility in both independent and collaborative situations. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • 2-5 years experience teaching students in Grades 4-8.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Salary Range:
$42,375
  • $46,875/year based on years of experience.
