We are looking for a teacher who is committed to reaching all students, raising achievement through a rigorous and relevant curriculum, and supporting a school culture of excellence and joyful learning.
The employee is a member of our Health & Wellness team. This position involves teaching a variety of classes as well as health-related workshops Grades 9-12. Responsibilities and Duties The Wellness teacher will be responsible for the following in addition to other duties as assigned by their primary supervisor: Working with and for Students Aligning curricular standards with state guidelines Promoting health and wellness initiatives within the school and community Documenting annual, unit, and lesson plans correlated to state standards Monitoring student progress through standards-based assessments Analyzing student data Differentiating instruction Supporting, planning, and co-leading Service-Learning projects Advising students through daily Connections class (homeroom) Input academic and behavioral data on the school data management system Analyze student data and monitor student progress through standards-based assessments Working with and for Families Participate in Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences Communicate regularly with families about academic and social progress Working with and for Colleagues Build and maintain a strong school culture centered on student achievement Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the success of the school mission Participate in professional development sessions Participate in grade-level team meetings Inputting academic and behavioral data into the school data management system Full time benefited employees at the Danvers Public Schools are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package offered through the Town of Danvers.
