Full Job Description Middle School Spanish Teacher Reports To:
Principal Adam Colantuoni Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic, student-centered Middle School Spanish Teacher to join the Holten Richmond Middle School community. The ideal candidate will create an engaging, inclusive classroom environment that fosters language acquisition, cultural understanding, and a love of learning. This position emphasizes proficiency-based instruction aligned with Massachusetts World Language standards. Responsibilities Instruction & Curriculum Plan and deliver engaging Spanish instruction for students in grades 68 Design lessons aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks for World Languages Incorporate all modes of communication: interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs, including students with IEPs and English learners Use culturally responsive teaching practices to connect language learning with real-world contexts Assessment & Data Use Develop and implement formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress Use data to inform instruction and provide targeted support Provide timely, constructive feedback to students Classroom Environment Establish a positive, structured classroom culture that promotes risk-taking and language use Set clear expectations for behavior and academic engagement Foster student independence and collaboration Collaboration & Professional Responsibilities Collaborate with grade-level teams, special education staff, and related service providers Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and common planning time Communicate effectively with families about student progress Engage in ongoing professional development Full time benefited employees at the Danvers Public Schools are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package offered through the Town of Danvers.
