We are seeking a passionate and dynamic STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) teacher to join our team. The STEAM teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing an interdisciplinary curriculum that engages students in hands-on learning experiences across the STEAM disciplines.
Performance Responsibilities:
Design and implement a comprehensive STEAM curriculum that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics concepts. Create engaging lesson plans that promote inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. Incorporate 21st-century skills, such as problem-solving, communication, and technology literacy, into daily lessons. Integrate technology tools (e.g., robotics kits, coding software, design platforms, digital tools) to enhance student learning and creativity. Encourage students to explore emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, data science, and digital fabrication through hands-on activities and projects. Create a positive, inclusive, and collaborative classroom culture that fosters curiosity, exploration, and creativity. Establish clear classroom expectations and maintain a productive and safe learning environment. Support students' social-emotional development by fostering a growth mindset and encouraging perseverance in the face of challenges. Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects and connect STEAM subjects to other areas of the curriculum. Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional learning communities (PLCs) to share best practices and support colleagues. Design inclusive lessons that meet the needs of students with diverse learning needs, including students with disabilities, English language learners, and underrepresented groups in STEAM.
Required Qualifications:
Possess a valid Massachusetts Teaching License in Science, Mathematics, Digital Literacy/Computer Science, Technology/Engineering or Visual Art Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Art, or a related field.
