Bellesini Academy Lawrence, Massachusetts Position:
Middle School Science Teacher ( Full-Time) About Bellesini Academy Bellesini Academy is an independent Catholic middle school serving grades 5-8, dedicated to providing a high-quality, scholarship-based education to students from limited financial means in Lawrence, MA. Serving approximately 120 students, Bellesini Academy provides an academically rigorous and highly structured environment that prepares students for success in competitive secondary schools and colleges. The school's mission is grounded in high expectations, community, respect, and empathy. Position Overview Bellesini Academy seeks a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our middle school faculty. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic educator with a strong background in instruction and a commitment to inspiring a love of learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving in students, while instilling culturally supportive practices. Key Responsibilities Provide enriching academic instruction that supports our high academic standards Teach subject-related content, which may include a period of Religion May be assigned to lead a homeroom Collaborate with colleagues to develop classroom instruction and support the school's mission and vision. Work closely with the Dean of Academics and the Head of School, as well as grade-level and department team members, to develop and implement high-quality instruction practices. Use formative and summative data to determine students' needs and create action plans for student success in collaboration with colleagues. Develop and implement a strong classroom culture that fosters a safe and enriching learning environment Participate in and support school-wide functions throughout the year Participate in and support the after-school enrichment program, which may include academic tutoring, clubs, or other co-curricular activities. Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues Participate in a one-week teacher professional development in August to prepare for the academic year. All other duties as assigned by the supervisor Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, or a related field (Master's preferred) Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage diverse learners. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and culturally responsive classroom environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Standard school hours (approximately 7:30 AM- 3:30 PM) After-School Enrichment (Monday
- Thursday, 3:30
- 5:00 PM) (optional for staff) Salary is commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package including: Vacation, personal, and sick time Medical and dental insurance 403(B) retirement plan
Pay:
$50,000.00- $60,000.
