August 31, 2026 Teach a Class That Actually Matters Most after-school programs give kids somewhere to be. We are looking for instructors who can give kids somewhere to grow. Sigma Martial Arts & Fitness is hiring multiple After-School Program Instructors to teach children ages 5-12 in a structured martial arts environment. This role is 100% instruction. It is not school pickup. It is not homework help. It is not general childcare. It is teaching. The right person can lead a class, manage behavior, keep transitions tight, and build trust with parents. Sigma's children's program is built around confidence, discipline, focus, emotional control, and long-term growth, not just kicks and punches. What You'll Do Teach daily martial arts classes for children ages 5-12 Maintain class structure, pacing, and behavioral standards Keep transitions clean, organized, and on time Build trust with parents through clear, professional communication Help children improve confidence, focus, listening, discipline, and follow-through Follow Sigma's teaching standards and curriculum Help maintain a positive, inclusive studio culture Support the studio team with setup, cleanup, and daily operational needs What We're Looking For Experience working with elementary-age children Experience in coaching, teaching, youth sports, martial arts, fitness, or a related field Strong classroom control and leadership Ability to teach with energy, clarity, and professionalism Reliable and punctual Comfortable holding high standards with children in a positive way Background in martial arts, wrestling, boxing, BJJ, MMA, karate, taekwondo, judo, or youth sports preferred Behavior management experience preferred Requirements Must pass a background check and CORI check CPR/First Aid preferred Must be able to stand for long periods, demonstrate techniques, and move mats/equipment Must be available Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM during the school year Why This Role Matters Parents who choose Sigma for after school programming are not really looking for "just another activity." They are looking for confidence, focus, discipline, structure, and positive reinforcement for their children from people they trust. That is why instructor quality matters so much in this role. Parents care deeply about whether the person leading the class knows how to teach children well, not just whether they know martial arts. Why Sigma We do not leave development to chance. We build it into the system. Our instructors are expected to know members, understand how to teach, and reinforce real growth in class. That is a core part of how Sigma operates and why families choose us. Benefits Free membership to all of our programming and discount for family members On-the-job, paid training Opportunities for advancement Ideal Candidate This is for someone who can walk into a room of kids, establish control fast, teach clearly, and make parents feel confident their child is in the right place. This is not the right role for someone who likes martial arts but does not know how to teach children. How to Apply Please submit your resume through Indeed.
