Description:
Wellan Montessori School is seeking an enthusiastic and creative After School Digital Arts and Photography Teacher to lead an engaging enrichment program for students in grades 4-8. This role is perfect for a practicing visual artist, educator, or creative professional who loves inspiring young minds through modern media. This is a semester-long position. Classes typically meet once per week between the hours of 3:00
  • 4:30 PM, including prep and clean up.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver a hands-on, age-appropriate curriculum covering the fundamentals of digital photography, photo editing, and digital art techniques.
  • Guide middle-grade students in exploring creative expression using cameras, tablets, or design software.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and structured after-school classroom environment.
  • Foster collaboration, critical thinking, and confidence through artistic projects.
Qualifications:
Background in Visual Arts, Digital Media, Photography, or a related creative field Experience teaching or working with upper elementary and middle school-aged children (Grades 4-8). Strongmunication skills and a passion for working in a collaborative, child-centered environment (Montessori familiarity is a plus, but not required).
